Josh Shuster is a dedicated educator, former Academic Intervention specialist, entrepreneur, and author with more than a decade of experience helping students overcome challenges and achieve academic success. Known affectionately as “Mr. Shu,” he has built a reputation for transforming the educational experiences of students through individualized instruction, innovative learning strategies, and a deep commitment to personal growth.

Josh formerly served as an Academic Intervention Teacher in Chicago, where he provided targeted support in Mathematics and Reading for students in grades 1 through 8. His passion for education is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to thrive when given the right tools, guidance, and encouragement.

A graduate of Ball State University, Josh earned his degree in Biology and Educational Psychology in 2013. Throughout his career, he has combined classroom expertise with entrepreneurial leadership, founding and operating a successful tutoring and behavioral service business in Indianapolis from 2016 to 2022. Josh has worked with families from some of Chicago's most respected schools, including Mitchell, Latin, Jones College Prep, Lane Tech, and Whitney Young. His innovative MAPS Method has helped countless bright but struggling students develop the confidence, organization, and learning strategies needed to become independent and successful learners.

He also plans to continue his academic journey through a Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership, reflecting his dedication to advancing educational practices and supporting future generations of learners.
